Marula lodge - LOCATION

Marula Lodge is 1½ hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport
en-route to the Kruger National Park.
It is situated on 1 000 malaria free hectares near Groblersdal in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa - approximately 150 km from Johannesburg / Pretoria and approx. 2½ hours drive to the Kruger National Park. Visit us for a real African Safari.

CLIMATE

The area is known as the Bushveld. characteristic of this climatic zone is the bushveld trees and the warm weather with annual rainfall during the summer months. The average minimum and maximum summer temperatures are 18°C and 28°C and in winter you can expect minimum and maximum temperatures of 9°C and 22°C.

This area is Malaria-free and tap water is safely drinkable.

GETTING TO MARULA LODGE

Driving:
The road surface is tarred right up to the turn off to Marula Lodge, from there the road is luxury-car friendly right up to the accommodation facilities.

Directions:
Take the N4 highway from Pretoria, traveling for approximately 50 km’s. Turn left onto the R25 Bronkhorstspruit road, traveling for approximately 106 km’s. At the T – junction turn right onto the R33 towards Groblersdal. Travel straight through Groblersdal until you see the Marula sign on the left. The distance from the T-junction to Marula Lodge, is approximately 8 km’s.
